The Out Of Work part of Eastside Stitchers can't seem to get enough group stitching in, so we met at Crossroads Mall for a Friday Morning stitch. What a great way to start the weekend. Presiding over the table were Skeinherder's Purled Christmas Tree and Jolly Wee Elves.
Some other people were in our usual spot! (the nerve of them), so we moved to the middle of the mall, discovered that the lighting was actually a bit better there.
MsWiz brought a variety of WIP's but settled on a lace scarf, once she figured out which row she was on.
Redbird1 cast on 264 stitches to begin a lovely new cowl, Biscuit by Bonnie Sennott.
Skeinherder was knitting away on a Snug As A Bug Sleep Sack by Robyn Devine in Michigan State colors.
I am totally making one of these for my brand new niece (more on her later). And I am very tempted to make the Biscuit cowl, too.
As usual, Vanesapolo was wearing some gorgeous thing she had knit. Today it was her Strata Sphere by Sandra McIver in Noro Silk Garden.
She had brought quite a bit of show and tell. Most were her new designs, so I don't have photos of those as she is not quite ready to make them public (I will be sure to post with links as soon as she gives the ok), but I do have a photo of her finished Habitat by Jared Flood,
and a finished garter stitch baby kimono.
She was working on a Wingspan by maylin Tri-Coterie Designs with the Noro that was left over from the Strata Sphere.
We had a new Eastside Stitcher join us at the table. It is so nice to meet new fiber friends. There is always room for more. If you are in the Bellevue area on a Wednesday night, or now a Friday morning, stop by, and bring your stitching.
By the end of the morning, Redbird1 had discovered a dropped stitch in her newly cast on cowl (remember that was 264 stitches!). So, she.....
Ripped it.
Peace,
f1bercat
shaping the world with great friends.
