Yarr! Eastside Stitchers Get Ready fer Bellingham! Mateys!

Avast!  and a Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day to all!

We had a great meet up of Eastside Stitchers tonight at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue.  There was a bit o' Pirate Talkin', shiver me timbers!  some final planning of our trip to Bellingham, and of course, a lot of stitching.

So who was there, and what were they stitching?

Redbird1 brought her finished Branching Out Scarf for Show and Tell.  She got the yarn for this, Slinky Wool, from the goody bags from the Stitch & Pitch this summer.

She was working on her Summer Flies Shawl in Blue Heron Rayon Metalic.  It is coming along beautifully.
Nicola brought her never ending Linen Stitch scarf.

GwenS brought a new shawl, the Marakeb Shawl.  She has had to frog it and restart it many times, and is wondering if it might be cursed.  The yarn is Madelinetosh in their worsted weight yarn and the shawl is lovely regardless of the curse.

Colleen brought a new baby blanket in pink!  no less.

Ellyol brought her new WEDDING RING!  Congratulations!  and may you have a long life of love and happiness ahead.

Ellyol also brought an afghan she was hooking with a giant hook, and making huge progress.

Skeinherder has finished her lovely Norma blanket, and had started on some new cuffs, Houndstooth Cuffs.'

Anerenbe was beginning a Cecily Beret and using fingering weight yarn that was dyed by a friend.

Tara came late.  She was wearing a new hat.

Theresa brought the sock she began last week dyed by her friend in France.  The colorway is named for Peeta from the Hunger Games Trilogy.

Allifer came too!  but at the very end of the evening.  Her boss needs to let her out earlier.  Stitch night is important!  She didn't bring anything to work on, just spent time saying hi to everyone and meeting our new members.

We had a drop in person tonight as well, Dirna, from Dallas, happened to see us stitching at our table near Half Price Books and Starbucks, and stopped to ask if we accepted new members.  She had just moved to the Pacific Northwest, and was looking for a group.  Of course we do!  We hope she will come by again.

We meet up on Wednesday nights starting at about 5:30 and staying until the Mall closes at about 9 pm.

As usual, we missed our members who were not there.  You all know who you are!  Hope you can make it again next week.

Good night everyone!
Stay safe and well.
Yours,
