Wednesday Night Eastside Stitchers with Chinese

Hello:
We have been having the most lovely weather.  This is not common in Bellevue in June.  Usually our Junes are cold and wet.

A few Eastside stitchers came in from the beautiful sunshine to knit at the round table at Crossroads near Half Price Books and Starbucks.

The beautiful Addie ate dinner with us, but didn't bring her knitting.  She tried to grab my Tonight socks a few times.

Addie's mom, GwenS has made huge progress on a new sweater for Addie,  a Barley sweater by TinCanKnits. out of Malabrigo, of course.

Readnitdream brought some wonderful show and tell projects:

a Brioche Hat,
Miami Beach Shawl by Vera Sanon,

but she brought an afghan to crochet
BlueBerryMary brought show and tell, also.  She finished her first pair of socks, and she knit them 2-at-a-time with magic loop.
She has started a second pair of socks
muahahaha!  I have brought her over to the sock side of knitting.

Mary was also knitting her swatch for the next Eastside Knitters Guild meeting.
Our own VanesaPolo is teaching steeking at the June meeting.  If you want to learn to steek, you must do your homework and bring a swatch to cut.

CathieC was knitting her swatch for the steeking class, too.
Tara1682 brought her latest shawl.  She spent a lot of the evening giving Pookie advice about Beijing.  He will be studying there this summer for 8 weeks, and as Tara used to live and work in Beijing, she knows all the cool places to go.

I brought the Tonight socks.
I have finished the cuffs and the legs, the heel flaps, and was turning the heels tonight, but I dropped 2 stitches in the second heel, so I didn't get very much finished.

Peace,
